The obverse is decorated with two figures under a shining sun, the Archangel Michael trampling a dragon and a woman, dressed in a habit, which represents religion and holds a large cross.

Background shows an altar with a crown above and in the outline and below are two inscriptions relating to the fact 'La religion L'Eclaire la foi combat pour Lui' and 'A jamais debout. Nous jurons de mourir pour nos princes legitimes'.
Finally, in the exergue are engraved signatures of the author and the publisher, De Puymaurin D. / Gayrard F.
The reverse is illustrated with a languid young woman who symbolizes sadness and embraces an urn (C.F. Duke of Berry, 14 February 1820) that tops a mausoleum with a shield oval with flowers of lily at the base and the engraved names of those who died (Henri IV, Louis XVI, Louis XVII, Maria Antoinette, M. Elizabeth L.A.H. of B. Earl and Duke of Enghein).
In the outline and the lower part can be read the legends 'Je pleure le passé. J'Espère en L'Avenir' y 'A la mémoire des Bourbons qui ont péri sous le fer des assassins'.

Measures: 5,6 cm diameter and 0,5 cm thickness. Weight: 93 grams (155 with case).
